What we stand behind

Your materials also carry their own manufacturer warranties, and those are usually the longer number. We hand you that paperwork at your final walkthrough and register the products in your name where registration is required, so you are not chasing a manufacturer three years from now with a receipt you cannot find.

Straight talk about concrete

Concrete cracks. Timing and severity cannot be predicted, and any contractor who tells you otherwise is either inexperienced or telling you what you want to hear. Chipping, discoloration, reflective cracking, settling and efflorescence are normal characteristics of concrete, not defects in the work.

This is a significant part of why we build in pavers wherever the project allows it. A paver surface can be lifted, re-based and re-set. A cracked slab has to be demolished. If you want the reasoning in full, it is on the pavers versus concrete page.

What is not covered

We would rather be specific than vague.

• Weed growth through barrier fabric. Barrier reduces weeds, it does not eliminate them.
• Rot or degradation of natural wood after installation.
• Plants, sod and vegetation, unless stated in writing in your contract.
• Additional rock or mulch needed after completion.
• Efflorescence on any surface. It is a natural mineral haze and it fades on its own.
• Damage from third parties, other contractors, natural disasters, pets, or work performed on our installation by someone else.
• Minor paver chips, polymeric sand settling, and minor block chipping on walls.

How to make a claim

Call the person who scoped your project and ran it. Not a call centre, not a form. They stood in your yard, they know the job, and they stay attached to it after the final walkthrough.

We respond to every warranty claim and tell you what we are doing about it, including when the answer is going to take longer than we would like.
